Whether you are employed, striking out on your own, or running your own business there is something for everyone.

We’ve based it at the superb venue of Monks Yard, as it’s really easy to get to from Somerset, Devon and Dorset and even further afield – it’s just 10 minutes from the junction 25 on the M5 and immediately off of the A303/A358/A30 junction near Ilminster.

It’s not just a day to spend in the conference suite listening to our hand picked inspirational speakers, from which you are guaranteed to leave with some golden nuggets of advice and guidance you can swiftly implement into your roles.  You can also go to the onsite computer suite (laptops supplied) and have one to one support on setting up Twitter, Linked In or Facebook accounts, browse our extensive exhibitors trade stands, have a booked signed by Saira and have lunch on site in the superb café.

Being Unsuited and Unbooted, there is a twist; there is also the chance to try something you may never have done before … Archery and Clay Pidgeon Shooting.  A half an hour taster session in small groups with professional tutors, designed to give you a complete change of scenery and try a new skill.  To get to the location for either of these activities, you can take a leisurely stroll down the lane, or alternatively hop on board the stunning shire horse shuttle dray and perhaps network on the way.

Why Unsuited and Unbooted … it’s the chance to informally meet new contacts, learn new skills and reflect on your business and its goals in a relaxed yet inspiring environment.

Unsuited and Unbooted has been put together by five business women in Somerset:

Rachel Sweet of Sweet Skills, Carly Warren of Thoroughbred Design and Print, Jacqui Yeoell of Westcountry Galleries, Becky Hollings from The Monks Yard and Jane Adkins of A Head For PR each believe that Somerset and the surrounding area is much in need of an event where women can come to network in an informal and fun way and learn something relevant to their business.
